The most frequent question we are asked at African Extracts is for advice on which of our Rooibos products to use. But to give the best advice, we need to know more about your skin. Your skin type doesn’t always stay the same – it changes over time and as a result of everything from hormones, to your lifestyle and even medication you may be taking. Basically, your skin type depends on the balance between the water content of your skin, which affects its comfort and elasticity, and the oil (or lipid) content, which affects its softness.

Why Rooibos keeps you moving

Healthy living is all about keeping moving, as the benefits of exercise keep you feeling young and full of energy – even when the winter weather gets you down. According to the South African Rooibos Council, Rooibos helps boost athletic performance. Ernest du Toit, spokesperson for the Rooibos Council says drinking Rooibos will not turn you into a super-human endurance athlete, but it has been shown to have performance-boosting benefits when consumed before, during or after a run.
